Maui and the sun

Once upon a time there was a strong warrior named Maui. Maui ad four strong brothers that helped him. The brothers and Maui thought to go to the cave of the sun and slow the sun down. They made a net out of flax and caught the sun. "If you promise to slow down I will let you go but remember I still have my weapon and I stool have my net said Maui .Now the brothers could go fishing because the days were longer.

Matariki

The seven sisters live in the sky. The seven sisters go away at the end of may and come back in June. One of the seven sisters is called matariki . Matariki is the Maori new year. We celebrate matariki be flying kites and weaving.
